Practitioner Coach Certificate
This Certificate course has been designed to accommodate people who require a shorter coach training programme that nevertheless delivers a robust level of content.
A quality short form qualification with both theoretical study and practical experience. The course has been specifically structured through the identification and careful selection of some of the elements of the Practitioner Diploma which would optimise the learning capacity within the shorter programme. For instance 5 out of 10 of the study modules; these are not abbreviated versions but the full training material enjoyed by students on the Practitioner Coach Diploma.
Elements of the Certificate include:
Introducing Coaching: a Solid Foundation
The first step is understanding - this includes one of the most comprehensive coaching books today which equips students with the theory and fundamentals of coaching. It introduces various coaching models, gives coaching scenarios and examples and provides initial resources and templates.
Additionally, students meet with Noble Manhattan at an Introduction to Coaching Event where the first part of the day is dedicated to expanding their knowledge and understanding of the coaching industry.
A thorough understanding is gained of the history and phenomenal growth of coaching, the different types of coaching, how it differs from therapy and counselling and why it is so vital in today’s personal and business environment.
The Theory
The theory then focuses on 5 core subject areas
• Conversation
• Questioning
• Listening
• The TGROW Model
• Values
Working through each of these study modules the students develop a thorough understanding by engaging fully with the course material, working through exercises and activities and participating in reflective learning.
Each of these modules is complemented and enhanced by a series of lectures conducted by highly qualified coaches. Each of these lectures is recorded onto a CD for convenience.
• Four Pillars of Coaching
• Listening Skills - Part 1
• Listening Skills - Part 2
• Questioning Skills - Part 1
• Questioning Skills - Part 2
• TGROW Coaching Model
• Values
Coaching in Action
Students attend a highly interactive hands on Coaching Workshop to experience delivering and receiving coaching.

Developing Coaching Skills
Having seen a coaching demonstration and studied the theory students are then ready and eager to start developing their own skills. This is conducted via a CD set of LIVE COACHING CALLS.
This superb multi-disc set includes recordings of live coaching sessions tackling many of the most common coaching issues. These will feature Noble Manhattan students. Because these students are at a more advanced stage of their coaching skills development students will hear how they successfully apply the techniques taught. Also included is feedback from their Mentor or Final Assessment Coach explaining where they performed well and in what areas they could improve.
Coaching Practice
There is one final CD lecture that helps students prepare for moving into active coaching. Conducted by our Head of Coach Mentoring, this carefully guides students through a mental checklist of everything covered, highlighting more salient points and informing students on how to prepare for, and conduct, a coaching session.
These learned skills will enable individuals to apply coaching skills within their work role which can greatly enhance supervisory and management skills, and improve communication between management and customers. Also, there are powerful benefits of applying these same skills at home! Problematic relationships with family and friends can be eased.
Progression
For those that want to move on to the Practitioner Coach Diploma to become a fully qualified Personal Coach much of the important foundations will have been covered.
